hello hello

hello all, i have landed in LA! ( a week ago actually)

been to las vegas and back. the heat is insane, and you never sweat cos it evaporates right away. gambling, strip clubs, glitzy hotels and shows. the second picture's taken from the stratosphere, the highest point in vegas.






























driving through nevada and arizona (desert vegetation, inselbergs, sedimentary planes etc OMG where geog came alive!), on route 66 (prison break!), stopping at hoover dam, finally getting to grand canyon.

an unplanned night at orange county, downtown LA, shujun's place at westwood village (i've caused her, and several others in usa and my parents an insane amount of worry :( she is the most WONDERFUL HOST and FRIEND) and santa monica beach!

chilling out at ucla now, my first day without any crazy travelling. seriously, i cannot navigate without a map, or kind bus drivers- too many traumatising stories to share.

anyway, take care all of you! you know how postcards will always say 'wish you were here'? there were so many moments where i wished you guys or some of my other friends or my family could have been with me, cos i know we would have enjoyed it wayyy more together.
