thesis turned in.

being with the aspiring phds makes me sad. while i'm thinking of leaving and starting anew, some of my favoritest people will be here for many years to come. and they're starting to reconfigure the group based on that reality. this girl's moving in with another who's also going to apply for the phd program next semester. and I's all set to be here for 5 more yrs. J's leaving, for exotic travels. we've started thinking about a 10 yr reunion, cos that's when a lot of our lives' most intense striving will likely be over (or hopefully not).

we can't go on. we go on.
