Shot at a bbq - always wanted to see myself play softball!
Sunsets at forgotten-named Bay in Seattle
Seattle - spot the space needle shown in Grey's Anatomy?
Space needle - if you missed it
Cute pig - Seattle's downtown's flooded with those pig art things, no idea why, but pigs rock my world
That weekend seemed so last year =(
"You are without entheos. You know what that means in Greek? No? You are without the feeling of possession by the divine. There is no fire burning in you."
- Chaim Potok, Book of Lights
Strange ride it's been, but the feeling's coming back now, it must be. How else to call that quickness of step/mind/heart/spirit that's more certain in its beat, less blind in its direction?
"I am a threat to you, my friend, am I not. You would like our world to be smooth and rational, would you now. You do not care to know of the rabbis, the great ones who were filled with poetry and contradictions. There is deep, deep within us the irrational as well. It is our motor energy, our creative demon. You think we know the world only on the basis of what we observe or can deduce logically? No, my good friend...The irrational completes us."
- Same as above.
What if the irrational dominates instead of just fills the holes? Too caught up in pragmatic reality still, but there've been moments when nothing makes sense, when thought feeling action don't converge and I walk the deliberately chosen unwanted path, and then lack entheos. And times when I do merely on wild impulse, and it turns out so right.
Above all, what now?
Us.
